Taxonomies problem (3 posts)

This is a pretty amazing plugin, but I have run into a limitation on custom Taxonomies, that might prevent me from using the plugin.

    1) Is it possible to NAME my custom Taxonomies?
    2) Is it possible to create MULTIPLE non-hierarchical custom taxonomy, for a cpt?

For example, I might want to create taxonomies named "Genre", "Actors", and "Director", all of which should be non-hierarchical. And the admin>edit meta-box for each should say that name, rather than generic headings "categories" or "tags".

I can do this by registering my taxonomies manually, in functions.php, but then the Plugin does not know about them, so it doesn't allow them to appear as Admin Columns.

This is still an issue? I can't seem to see my custom taxonomies appear on my custom post types.

This plugin does nothing to support or impede the use of custom taxonomies. Taxonomies deal with a completely separate part of the WordPress application, and since there are other plugins that let you register and control custom taxonomies, I have not prioritized the development of this, although it is slated for future development: http://code.google.com/p/wordpress-custom-content-type-manager/issues/detail?id=167

When you register a custom taxonomy, you can specify which post-types it applies to: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_taxonomy
