  • First off: this plugin is excellent. I love it. The changes in the new version (0.9.4) are great but I’m wondering if I’m doing something daft here.

I’ve just upgraded to 0.9.4, and none of the post types are showing up in the administration screens, they are no longer being pulled into pages where I have them linked through Associated Posts Pro and in fact I can’t access them at all. They’re listed in the (rather nice) pie charts under stats, they’ve just vanished from every where else.

Might this be a plugin clash, or am I missing something? All my custom fields are fine; I had used unique names for the fields, so there were no clashes.

I’ve got them all back by reverting the database and putting the old version back in place. All works now…

    Thanks for the shouts out!

Hmmm…. this sounds like it might be a plugin clash, but maybe it’s something that can be tweaked so they can work together. Man, these are the hardest ones for me to troubleshoot because it’s a PAID plugin: I have no way of playing with it myself unless you can grant me access to your server/site.

In development of this version, I ran into some goofs where the menu items for my custom post types disappeared: editing the post-type and re-saving it caused the menu items to reappear. That might be worth a try. The other thing would be to try deactivating the Associated Posts Pro plugin and see if the expected functionality returns.

I had the same problem but as you said editing and saving the post types (without making any changes to the post type settings) fixed the problem, love your work! 🙂

Good to know. I really tried to test the upgrade script from 0.9.3 to 0.9.4, but I missed some stuff for sure. A lot of the community was very good about letting me look at their installs so I could troubleshoot the problem. Hopefully there won’t be any more major changes to the data structures, but if a simple re-save fixes it, then I guess I’m Ok with that. Thanks for the shouts out.

Sorry I never got back to you on this. Editing and re-saving did the job just fine.

I’ve ended up coming back now, because exactly the same thing happened when upgrading this time… Again an edit and re-save sorts the problem out.

    Thanks for your time!

Glad the fix worked — sorry for the glitch 🙁
