Custom Columns Question (2 posts)

    Hello Mate,

    Just a quick question.

When you create a new custom post type and then want to customise what fields are displayed as columns on the backend (for example so you can display Post Name, Custom field 1, custom field 2 ... etc)

If I have a custom field and it is an image, and I try to display the custom field as a column, it displays either as -

1 - The post ID of that image (depending on what output filter is used)
2 - The actual URL string of the image (again depending on the chosen filter)
3 - The full size image of the uploaded image (when using the full filter)

Getting the actual image to display is what I want to achieve, but because I wont be uploading content; when someone uploads a huge image (3000x2400x for example) it will make the entire backend load these huge images.

Would it be possible for me to display these images using the inbuilt 'Thumbnail' image size? because they are usually 150x150px they would fit perfectly in the backend.

Would you be able to tell me if this is possible with the current version, or would I have to modify the plugin directly to get this functionality (As I would hate to modify it if this is already possibe and i simply overlooked it!)

I hope to hear back from you!

    Kind Regards

Yes, there's an issue in the bug tracker about this: I've found WP's image filters here to be junk, and my own efforts to resize images behave inconsistently on different servers. You can pass image size arguments to the image src filters -- the problem I've had is that WP seems to ignore them half the time.
