hello, I'm trying to use several plugins - simple tags, nextgen gallery, page navi - that create a new tab on the admin menu when activated. However when I click on the tab to take me to the plugin options (http://.../wp-admin/admin.php?page=nextgen-gallery), i get a 404 error. Has anyone seen this before or have any idea what the issue could be?
Thank you for any help someone might be able to provide.
*Additional info: it only does this for plugins that create a new top menu tab. I have other plugins activated that create a new menu option under the 'Options' tab and it works fine. So in this case, PageNavi works fine but NextGen Gallery doesn't.
the funny thing is - i installed the nextgen plugin on another wordpress install I have on the same server except it's an older version (2.2.1) and it worked fine!
hmm...:-/
well, this forum is certainly not like another help forums - the reason I chose to go with wordpress was because of this large "community" but it seems hit or miss in getting some help on here.
I went ahead and "paid" someone to fix this and they wiped everything clean and installed an old version using fantastico, then upgraded to the newest version. I don't necessarily understand the methodology, but hey it works!
You can usually discover if you have plugin conflicts by disabling them one at a time until you are able to get into the NestGen gallery administration section. Sorry nobody had responded until now.
