Thanks. I understand the difference between the two. The page you sent says:

“Since this feature is exclusive to MU, regular WordPress plugins placed in this folder may or may not work.”

So, I am asking, does Cookies for Comments work when placed in mu-plugins?

In my own testing since my original post, I’ve found it does not work. This would mean that it has to be activated for all blogs.

    Hi all

Yes I agree with Klark123. Can we please have clarification if plugin should go in /plugins/ or /mu-plugins/ for WPMU installation. Also how to activate it for all WPMU users?

    Thanks

It’ll work in either directory. In plugins you’ll probably want to enable it sitewide.

Only shows up when in the plugins folder.
I cannot activate this plugin. I get an error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
