Firstly, I'm just starting to evaluate this plug-in but so far it looks like well conceived way to address this issue, and nicely coded. Many thanks to the author.

I am however having an issue using this with bbPress.

My objective - create a sidebar that will be displayed on forum specific pages AND all of the topics that are subordinate.

I have successfully installed and achieved the first part - displayed on forum specific pages.

However, topics that are subordinant to each forum are not displaying these sidebars.

For example lets say I have a "Blue" forum. The sidebar appears OK, however the "turquoise" topic under the Blue forum, is not receiving the Blue sidebar.

    Hopefully thats clear?

    Any advice appreciated !!!!

    Thanks

Thank you for the feedback. It's nice to hear that it is good code :)

It is a goal that the plugin will be compatible with as many other plugins as possible, however, I have not done anything to archieve this yet, except making it support custom post types and taxonomies.

Obviously it does not fully support bbPress, but I hope it will at some point. I'll look into the feature, but it will unfortunatly not make it to version 0.8.

Thanks for your reply Joachim, no doubt features get added as you need them.

There is a short-term work around by selecting individual topics to associate with a sidebar, this requires ongoing grooming of the site as new topics are posted, if anyone has ideas on scripting an automated solution, I'm all ears ;-)

    hi Joachim,
great plugin, very easy to use. I do have the same issue as itryit, and the same problem with bbPress 2.0.2. it would be great to resolve this issue, as plugin like this is really needed for all communities with forum installed.

I looking forward to solution too! cheeers

You might have noticed the support for bbPress user profiles in version 1, and I'm just letting you know that I'll try to implement your feature request in the next release.
