    I doubt it is a bug in the plugin as it only uses is_search() to check whether the current page is a search page.

    More likely you have a custom query on the search page (perhaps a widget showing some posts?) that has not called wp_reset_postdata(); afterwards. This messes up the “content identifier” within WordPress that Content Aware Sidebars rely on.

    If you are sure that is not the case, try to deactivate other plugins one by one to see if there are any incompatibilities.
