I'm working on a French host (OVH – don't ever use them). I installed the French version of WP and Contact Form 7 wouldn't work.
I installed the WP-Mail-SMTP but it only works by picking the "Use the PHP mail() function to send emails" option! When I filled out the SMTP details it wouldn't work.
But... it only works with French forms. English forms don't work. I have re-installed WP and used the English version – which is better anyway because the website is in English. Still the same problem.
