Contact Form 7
Occassionally required fields not being passed (3 posts)

Contact Form 7 works perfectly 90% of the time. Occasionally, however, I get an enquiry that is missing some of the required fields from the form.

I am not sure if the user entered those required fields or left them blank, but all I get on the email it sends me is, for example:

    Your number: [your-number]

(With some or all of the other fields with the submitted values).

It appears on my email exactly like that, without the field being passed from the form and showing the field code.

I don't understand, since a required field surely prevents the form from being submitted. However on about 10% of the emails some of the fields are not being passed through (and others are). It is always the same fields that are being passed, not being passed, which indicated something is amiss. However I have checked the code and the formatting numerous times and all seems to be fine.

    For example in the form:

    <td>Physical Address</td>
    <td colspan="2">[textarea* physical-address x4]</td>

    And in the message body:

    Physical address: [physical-address]

I also use Contact Form 7 DB Extension Version: 2.2.6, and on the emails where fields are missing, it is not saved at all in the database.

Seem to have the same problem, and a suggested fix from a different thread regarding removing the * required portion of the field element [field* fieldname] did not work..

Does anyone have any solutions to this?
