[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Multiple "To" emails in one form via a drop-down? (10 posts)

Is it possible to have one form with multiple send to addresses that would be selectible via a drop-down menu? Basically, I want a contact us page with subject and message fields and the ability for someone to choose who to mail it to. For example: Membership, General Comments, etc. One note on this, there would have to be a display and a value for the field. Meaning, the membership email would display as "Membership", but the value would be "membership@domain.com".

    Thanks

    Brian

Maybe you can. See the description for pipe feature on this post.

You can use it in combination with multiple selection option.

Thanks, that worked perfectly. Might I suggest adding the | option to the instructions. I didn't know we could use that to differentiate values vs. display.

The more I use this plugin, the more I like it!

One additional question - is it possible to use the first part of the pipe again? For example, I have a dropdown called recipient that includes a value of "Membership|membership@domain.com". I can use the value after the pipe by putting [recipient] in the to field of the mail form. What if I want to use the first part of the pipe, "Membership", in the body of the email? Is that possible?

@brianlees thanks. I'll add the instructions of the pipe feature to the new official site.

As for the additional question, it's impossible by default, but possible if you customize by making additional module for it.

    Hi,
I have similar requirement as Brian for the need to use the first part before the pipe, as using the [recipient] mail tag returns the value after the pipe. Is this possible with the current version or would it still require customization with an additional module as you mentioned?

    Thanks

It still requires customization even with the current version. I'm struggling to find the best way to implement it in the plugin core.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you see something soon and where can I get the customization done so that it'll be compatible with your future versions/upgrade?

I'm looking for that same feature...
How about just using that entire field as a hidden field? Would that do it?

    FIXED!
    Try this:
    "Membership|Membership <membership@domain.com>"

    This worked for me.
