[Plugin: Contact form 7] language not working

    Hi, yesterdag I installed this plugin, works great, if you’re English…My language is set to ‘nl_NL’ in wp-config.php. That works because for example the whole admin backend is displayed in Dutch. But the (error)messages that Contact form displays, are in English, while there is wpcf7-nl_NL.mo and wpcf7-nl_NL.po in the languages folder.

    I followed all instructions:

    “Contact Form 7 has been translated into many languages. See if the languages folder contains a language file for your language.

    The locale setting of Contact Form 7 follows the locale setting of WordPress. Once you change the WordPress locale to, Contact Form 7 is also changed. See how to change the WordPress locale here.”

    Can somebody help me please?

    Try to ‘add new’ a contact form and look into the Messages section at the bottom of the admin page. There should be translated messages if your WPLANG setting is correctly ‘nl_NL’.

    The messages are created and stores in the database. Contact Form 7 checks the WPLANG only at the creation.

    Also make sure the WPLANG-value (wp-config) corresponds with those used in the translated files. E.g. if in wp-config.php you have value: ‘nl’ not ‘nl-NL’ then also the translated files should be named nl.po and nl.mo.

    Hi all, I looked in the config file I have fr_FR like in Contact Form 7

    My page is in French but when I send the message I get in English:
    “Your message was sent successfully. Thanks.”

    I tried to changed it in functions.php but is still appears in English 🙁

    Any idea what I could do ?

    @cotp You don’t need to touch functions.php or any files. See the ‘Messages’ section in the admin page of Contact Form 7.
