[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Info from fields not showing my body of email

The information in the text fields does not show up in my emails. I added the tags from all fields to the “Message Body” section under mail. What shows in the email I receive are the actual tags, ie [text age], rather than what a person types into the fields. Did I do wrong by placing those tags into the “Message Body” section?
