[Plugin: Contact Form 7] IE Issues (10 posts)

    Hi,

I'm having errors on IE7 and IE6. When submitting form, ajax loading image keeps rolling but nothing happens, and no message is sent. Plugin works perfectly on FF2 and FF3, Safari and Opera.

I have reviewed previous threads, and tried the following:

    - Clean cache. It shouldn't be a cache issue, because I tested it on several machines and the issue persists.
    - XHTML invalid code. I checked out the validation and corrected every issue. XHTML is perfectly valid.
    - Avoid conflict with other plugins. Contact Form 7 is the only active plugin on the frontend.

I think the issue might be related with the way the page is built. The theme loads 2 pages and 17 posts through different category-based wp loops. It also has a bunch of jQuery. I'm just starting with this js framework, so I think there might be something conflicting. Firebug is not showing up any errors, though.

    Any ideas?
This is the last issue on the website, and I would love to fix it and publish it. Help!

    Thanks in advance,

    Santiago

I have the exact problem as santiagomg. It works in Firefox but not IE7. I have also tried the same things to correct the problem with no luck. I checked it with http://validator.w3.org and it complained about the embeded Youtube code. I removed it to cleanup all errors and the problem did not go away so I re-added the Youtube code. I like this form a lot because it puts the field text above the boxes which fits well in narrow spaces. Is there anything else that can be checked to determine the cause of the problem?
I am using the ithemes Titanium theme.

I resolved the problem. I was trying to use the contact form in a text widget. When I moved it to its own page it started working in IE7.

    Hi!
Had some troubles myself with Contact Form 7 and IE 7. The arrows kept on spinning when pressing Submit. Nemas problemas in FF.

    Found this:
    http://ideasilo.wordpress.com/2008/03/29/contact-form-7-faq/#The_spinning_arrow_icon_shows_up_once_I_submit_a_form

And for me, it was the Coolplayer plugin that terrorized the Contact Form!
Deactivating Coolplayer and installing Wordtube 2.0 resolved this quite nicely.

I'm using WordPress 2.7.1 (in Swedish) btw.

    Hope this helps...?

So far nothing? Just want it in a text widget, that's all.

Just the opposite for me. I am able to see "Successful message" in IE, but not in FF. Anyone find a solution for this?
