How do you get ajax to work with validating? (2 posts)

    Hi there!

    I've been tinkering with the contact form 7, and see that on other sites, when you don't enter a valid name, you get a red-bordered pop up box, that dissapears on mouse-over. I only get an error message underneath the box.

    In the code, I think it is this part that I am talking about:

    span.wpcf7-not-valid-tip {
    background:none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
    border:1px solid #FF0000;
    font-size:10pt;
    left:20%;
    padding:2px;
    position:absolute;
    top:20%;
    width:280px;
    z-index:100;
    }

    span.wpcf7-not-valid-tip-no-ajax {
    	color: #f00;
    	font-size: 10pt;
    	display: block;
    }

    So, it seams I am not using ajax. How can I activate this? I really like the popups, because they don't mess up my lay-out. But how do I create them??

    Thanks in advance!!

    Sometimes I forget to add <?php wp_footer();?> in my footer.php which results in scripts not loading.

    Your problem is not in CSS for sure.
