Contact Form 7
[resolved] File upload/ attachment not working (4 posts)

    Hi there,

I've created a form using the correct tags, set a defined upload folder, and set permissions on this to 777. The folder created by Contact Form 7 wouldn't allow me to change it's permissions.

No matter what I try, I cannot get mail attachments to work, and receive a Validation error popup every time I try to send.

    Any help much appreciated.

I strongly suggest you contact your host for assistance with changing permissions on that folder.

What permissions do I need to set it to? I'd created another folder, and changed wp-config to point to it, but even with permissions at 777 on that folder, it still didn't work.

If anyone else is having this problem, where the mail form returns a validation error because the file attachment won't upload, it's not to do with permissions.

You have to have php-cgi / php-fast-cgi enabled on your server.

Thanks for the pointer though zoonini.
