    Hi,
Since upgrading to version 2.4 of Contact form 7 I am having a problem. Can someone please help.

I am getting this Fatal error –

Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_multisite() in /home/wp/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7_24/includes/functions.php on line 104

I have gone back to the old version which is ok, but I lost my forms

  • I upgraded today as well and received the same fatal error message. Any suggestions or should I go back to a previous version? My site is not accessible now.

I have the same problem. I deactivated the plugin and my site is now fine, but of course I need a contact form!

How are you able to downgrade to the previous version?

I confirmed this problem. This occurs when you use the plugin with WordPress 2.9. WordPress 3.0 is OK.

I’ll release the fixed version in a few days. In the meantime, please use the Contact Form 7 2.3.1 instead. You can download old versions from here:

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

I’ve fixed this problem in the development version. Please help test it if you have time.

You can download the “development version” at the bottom of the list:

If no problem found, I’ll release it publicly.

    Same problem here after upgrade.

Reinstalled vers 2.3.1 – fixed – All forms intact

@sratliff IMO go back to vers 2.3.1 – doing that or deactivating the plugin will give you your site back.

@knsfinancial – Go here – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7/download/ – and download vers 2.3.1 and install as you would any plugin, overwriting the existing files.

I have the same problem πŸ™

I have renamed the old contact-form-7 directory and installed version 2.3.1 which installed fine, however I have lost all my forms.

Where does contact-form-7 keep the forms?

I did deactivate it but then decided to install a different contact form to get things running again quickly without having to redo all my forms. Couldn’t find a way to download a previous version (although thanks for posting it now).
Thanks anyway! If I get time I will try out the development version.

yakos, Contact Form 7 keeps the forms in the database. You don’t lose the forms unless you delete the data from the database.

    OK Thanks Takayuki,

However how come I cannot see the forms now that I have moved to version 2.3.1 ?

    thnks again

I’m not sure, but this process might cause the trouble because the old contact-form-7 is still alive even after you rename the directory. You’d better delete old contact-form-7 directory.

Reverted back to 2.3.1 and works fine for WP 2.9

Sure feels good knowing I’m not the only person experiencing this. I just downgraded back to 2.3.1 on wordpress 2.9.2 and everything is working fine now. I’ll just wait for the update that fixes this issue as I’m not quite comfortable with development versions.

    Cheers

Dev version worked fine for me. Thanks for the prompt response!! I renamed my Contact Form 7 folder and uploaded the new dev folder. Everything was seamless.

PhilD41, thanks for testing the dev version. I’m going to release it soon.
