I am having problems with Contact Form 7 installed on a client's site: http://www.ccas.org.au/?page_id=223
The client is getting angry emails and phone calls from users who complete the form and get an error message saying the form could not be sent - the usual error message with a red box around it.
I have tried to replicate the problem but I can't. I've used 4 different computers (Mac, iPad and PC) and six different browsers including old and new variants of Firefox and all my completed forms get sent through OK. So the email side of it is working, just not the form itself apparently. Do feel free to test over the next 48 hours as I have the emails directed to my email address not the client's.
Both my own and my client's email addresses are at domain names rather than gmail, hotmail etc.
I am using the Striking theme. I have used that elsewhere with CF7 with no issues.
I have deactivated the CF7 plugin, removed it, reinstalled and reactivated it.
None of the form fields is mandatory. I thought that may have been an issue so I made them all optional.
The site is hosted at Crazy Domains in Australia (crazydomains.com.au), with whom I have other sites running CF7 hosted without an issue. I have sent them a helpdesk request in case there is a problem with permissions on their server.
I was running v. 2.4.3 of CF7 but have gone back to 2.3 in case there are issues with the latest version.
I have checked with XHTML validator http://www.xhtml-css.com/ and while there are HTML errors I don't believe they are the cause of the error message on submission. Please tell me if you think I'm wrong here. I can't get any error messages to appear but other users can and apparently all too frequently do.
Other plugins I have on the site are:
All In One SEO Pack
WP Captcha Free
Can anyone help? Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I really like using CF7 and don't want to use another contact form plugin as the form I have built is complex in layout using HTML tables and would be an extreme pain to recreate using another plugin. I'm not the greatest at handcoding CSS for this sort of thing. I can't change the layout either as the client wants it that way. Help....!!
Thanks in advance!
