Directing form responses to regional offices (7 posts)

    Is there a way to direct a form's response to one of our regional email addresses?
    My form includes a dropdown 'what region are you in?' to help me filter responses and forward them on the regional managers. I'd like to automate this by directing the response email to a different address based on the users choice of region in the dropdown.
    Is this 'conditional' form building?

    I found the solution here http://ideasilo.wordpress.com/2009/01/03/contact-form-7-191/
    using | pipe character.

    the pipe character didn't work, still no joy.

    Hi, is there a newer update past ?
    I'm attempting to use the ' | ' feature (without the apostrophes) but even trying things like and other variants won't send a response to alternative email accounts.

    I hope you can help.

    If I we don't hear from the developer by end of the week, I'll have to give up and set up a Multi-site install and have one form for each regional site.

    I got it to work. I simply didn't add the [your-recipient] to the "to" field in the "Mail" area.

    Working like a charm. I would like to pass along the information before the pipe and have it show up in the email. But for now, it's good enough.

    Thanks for the tip. I removed my email address from the 'to' field and put [regional team] instead, it now works.
