   Is it possible to customize the default styles of the contact form? I was wondering if there was a css file that was installed with the plugin.

   The contact-form-7/styles.css is the default style sheet of Contact Form 7, but don't edit it because your customization is removed when updating the plugin. Instead, you should add styles into your theme's style sheet.
