    Hi All,
    New to all this so please excuse my ignorance as this may be something simple.
    But i have a word press site in which I want to have a contact form. I installed contact form 7 and followed the instructions on creating a form.

    However whenever I go to the page I put the code on it does not work at all. All I get on the page is [contact-form-7 id="133" title="Contact form 1"]

    Can anyone help on this as this is driving me crazy trying to figure it out.

    Thanks
    Joe

    Hi,
    Yes the plugin is activated but still doesn't work.

    But there is no stylesheet, no javascript of Contact Form 7 loaded on the page. Also, the short code is just ignored. It's clear that the plugin is not active.

    To rule out conflicting issue, try deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme.

    Hi,

    I have deactivated all other plugins and have restored the original theme and checked to make sure the plugin is activated but I am still getting the same problem.

    I appreciate your help so far with this.

    If so, either of WordPress or Contact Form 7 plugin is broken. Try reinstalling.

    Hi All,

    Happy new year to all.

    I have tried all of this. I have removed the theme, reinstalled the original. Did a reinstall of the plugin. Deleted all other plug ins and still not working.

    It is officially driving me crazy now

    Hello Friends,

    You have to make sure the following code is in your custom template:

    <?php if ( have_posts() ) while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>
    	<?php if ( is_front_page() ) { ?>
    		<h2 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
    	<?php } else { ?>
    		<h1 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
    	<?php } ?>
    	<?php the_content(); ?>
    <?php endwhile; ?>

    I have resolved my problem regarding not display contact form in custom template, I hope this will help you.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the info. Excuse my ignorance as this is all new to me at the moment.
    I am assuming that by the custom template you mean the page template (page.php)?

    I did this and it still is not working. Below is the code of the page.php template. Maybe this will give an insight as to why it is not working.

    Thank you in advance

    <?php get_header();?>
    	<?php include ('sidebar1.php'); ?>
    	<div id="content">
    		<?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
    		<div class="post" id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">
    	<?php if ( is_front_page() ) { ?>
    		<h2 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
    	<?php } else { ?>
    		<h1 class="entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>
    	<?php } ?>
    			<h2><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
    			<?php edit_post_link(); ?>
    			<?php the_content(); ?>
    		</div>
    		<?php endwhile; endif ?>

    		<?php comments_template(); ?>
    	</div>
    <!--	<?php include ('sidebar2.php'); ?> -->
    <?php get_footer();?>
