[Plugin Contact Form 7] adding a field counter (donations)

    We’ve downloaded and installed a contact form using the Contact Form 7 plugin on our website.

    One of the fields in the form submits a number (chosen by the user), to let us know how many items they have registered.

    We are looking to integrate a counter with this form. Would like the counter to generate the total number of registered items.

    Anyone have an idea on how to accomplish this or even where we could go to start?

    In case it wasn’t clear enough…the number the user chooses is random (no select option or anything like that). The user inputs the number of items they have registered and we want to count how many items have been registered in total.

    Possibly place a counter on the sidebar, or header showing how many items have been registered “up to now”. Kind of like a donation counter type of thing.
