   Hi, I'm using Configure SMTP plugin with wordpress 3.1.1 + Buddypress 1.2.8, and the plugin does not seems to work on certain emails. For example, when I ask a member to be my friend, the notification is sent but not via smtp. All the notifications use the wp_mail function...

   I noticed the problem on ajax and non-ajax requests, and I can't find its origin... any clues ?

   Having the same issue!
   How can we make the buddypress notifications use the smtp? My server does not allow (for whatever stupid reasons) the wp_mail function
