KML zoom level not working (5 posts)

In lack of different means of placing location markers (a picker would be nice as I do not have addresses for a lot of the places I want to display) I am using google earth to create all my places, and then exporting them individually to KML files. Problem is that when the page loads, the maps are zoomed all the way in regardless of what I choose as altitude in the KML file. I have set it both in the altitude tag and in the coordinates tag. Is there some other way of specifying zoom level in the KML?

    Here is the kml:

Nothing on this? Could use some help. I can't use the plugin as intended until this is resolved.

Still nothing? I need a map plugin. In one week I'll have to find something else unless this is resolved.

    Hi geirrosset,
Zoom must be set within KML file correctly. Now, lets take thsi problem outside my plugin just for a moment - are you sure your have properly constructed your KML file?

Please have a look at the following screenshot:

I have tried your KML file (http://www.paafeltet.org/KML/merkur_ved_brygga_i_Sandefjord.kml) in a third party viewer:

It still appears zoomed. You need to make sure that your have set zoom correctly in your KML
