If you are entering an event in the admin section and something goes wrong while saving, there is no feedback except “new event inserted”, which is not what happened.

It is unclear which fields are mandatory, if a mandatory field is left blank, the event is not saved, again with the above erroneous message.

Actually, there is very little that is mandatory. The only field that you need to enter is the title. And the “Insert new Event” button is not active until you have typed something in that field.

Can you give me an example where you tried inserting an event and that event was missing something?

It probably had to do with the other issue I reported. They are both about inserting events using the backend. If a start date other then today is supplied, no event is inserted in the database. Also, if all fields are left blank, there is no feedback that we should insert a title, but I have no installation currently and if you say it all works fine in the backend as well as on the frontend, then I guess everything is fine then.
