    Hello!
First of all, this plugin was exactly what I was looking for so I hope I can get it to work. I have the newest version of WordPress (with a static website) and I have created a "Guestbook" page and type in [comment-guestbook] after downloading and activating the plug-in. I have also enabled comments but there is still nothing showing up. Is there something I am missing?? Please help!

    Hi.
Already other people had similar problems, but I didn't found the exact error yet. Perhaps you can help me to identify the problem.

Can you give me some more information to localize the problem:

    1. Check if the shortcode is working:
If you disable the plugin the shortcode text "[comment-guestbook]" should be visible on the site. If you enable the plugin you shouldn't see the text "[comment-guestbook]" on your site because it will be replaced with other output (also when it is empty in your case). Can you confirm that?

    2. Check if a php error occurs:
Please add additional text in the guestbook site before and after the shortcode. Is all the other text visible on the site, or is the text after the shortcode missing?

    3. Check the settings page:
Did you change something in the settings (see Comments -> Guestbook)? If you change something do you find any changes on the guestbook site?

I hope you can answer the upper questions to help me identifying the problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. When I disable the plug-in, I can see [comment-guestbook] and when I enable it, the short code is no longer there but the guestbook page is blank.
    2. I have added additional text before and after the short code and all of it is visible (regardless of whether it was before or after).
    3. I have not change anything in the settings initially (the type is still "default"); however I tried to change it to twentyeleven and simplecatch (the theme I am using) and nothing is happening.

I don't know if this is helpful but the word "Guestbook" on the page is hyperlinked; however, when I try to click on it, it does not do anything.

    I hope this helps!

Ok, I don't have a solution yet, but we can proceed with the next test:

Please disable the plugin an have a look at your guestbook site. If the comments are enabled they must be visible below the site. If you don't have set any comments for this site yet at least the comment form must be available below the site text. If this is not the case please recheck if comments are enabled for the guestbook site.
