   I found the solution: have edited file and changed images' url in the css file to:

   http://mywebsite.com/wp-content/themes/my-theme/images/button_plus_blue.png etc.

   I can see them now

   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/collapse-sub-pages/

   I forgot to add I copied those 2 png files from plugins' folder to my-theme/images directory

   Sorry about the issues. I was not properly publishing the releases. I've corrected the problem this morning in version 0.0.5 (it will be available once wordpress sees the release and rolls it out).
