    Using plugin version 1.4.6.2

After activating the column sort order add-on, whenever I click a category or tag name to filter the results it throws the following errors and doesn't make my custom columns sortable. The wordpress select menu for filtering categories works without error, but it's a totally different URL structure.

    Appears above results:

Warning: Illegal offset type in /path/to/my.domain.com/wp-includes/post.php on line 1370

Warning: Illegal offset type in /path/to/my.domain.com/wp-includes/post.php on line 1370

Warning: Illegal offset type in /path/to/my.domain.com/wp-includes/post.php on line 1370

Warning: Illegal offset type in /path/to/my.domain.com/wp-includes/post.php on line 1370

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /path/to/my.domain.com/wp-content/plugins/codepress-admin-columns/codepress-admin-columns.php on line 1768`

    Appears below results:

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /path/to/my.domain.com/wp-includes/post.php on line 840

I am not sure but it could be a conflict with some other plugin. Try disabling all plugins except 'codepress admin columns' so we can exclude any plugin conflicts.

Also try resetting the columns to their default on the admin columns settings page.

If that didn't help could you send me a screenshot of the error and URL?

The errors appear when Custom Content Type Manager (Version 0.9.6-pl) is installed. It happens on regular posts as well and is not limited to post types created by CCTM. CCTM's column customization is not enabled for my custom post type.

Resetting columns to default only removes the one error message mentioning "codepress-admin-columns.php on line 1768". The others remain.

Deactivate the Sorting add-on and the errors go away.

Any progress on this issue, thoughts?

Unfortunately I could not reproduce your issues with CCTM enabled. It could well be any of the many different setting combination that CCTM has. I also noticed that CCTM has a sorting option from itself, which might have a conflict.

CCTM had another issue, perhaps it is related, not sure. The thread is here.

I just did a brand new test install of WordPress 3.4.2

    • Installed and activated Custom Content Type Manager

    • Installed and activated Codepress Admin Columns

    • Entered my Sortorder Activate Code (required for the bug).

    • Switched to Posts, Clicked Uncategorized under the Categories column in the "Hello world!" post and I get only the Illegal offset errors in wp-includes/post.php.

    • Switched to Admin Columns settings and added a Featured Image column to the Posts. Save.

    • Switched back to Posts, Clicked Uncategorized under the Categories column in the "Hello world!" post and now in addition to the post.php errors, it adds the error for wp-content/plugins/codepress-admin-columns/codepress-admin-columns.php

    • Switch back to Admin Columns settings and deactivated my Sortorder addon.

    • Go back to Posts to repeat the test action and no more errors.

If you need access to the test install, I can send you a message at your Feedback form (below) to arrange access.

If you could give me temporary access that would be great. I will have a look.

I just sent you a message with your form. Let me know if you don't get it due to filtering links or something.

I found what caused it. Apparently CCTM plugin changes the global post_type somewhere, which made it an array.

I will know check for the right type of this variable before I use it, with a fallback in case it fails. Without getting in to much depth.. it is fixed now :)

I already update your plugin on your development environment, and will soon release a patch for it in the repository, will be version 1.4.6.5 and up probably.

Thanks for letting me test on your site and the bug report.
