Codepress Admin Columns
[resolved] Conflict with Custom Content Type Manager? (7 posts)

    I am trying out your Admin Columns WordPress plugin, but I am having a problem. I have used Custom Content Type Manager to create a field meeting_date. Then I've added the field to admin using:

    Label: Date
    Custom Field: meeting_date
    Field Type: Date
    Before:
    After:

    When this field displays, I get the following:

    "The column-meta-1 field is not defined as a custom field.03/14/2012"

    03/14/2012 is the correct value. When first testing I was getting double display of all of the data for the columns. I am guessing that Custom Content Type Manager, and Admin Columns are both fighting to display the content, resulting in the double display. Do you have any solution?

    Thanks,
    Brad

    I have found a solution to this and I have send you an email with a fix. I will also include the fix in the next release (1.4.2 and up).

    The solution to this is already in the latest version. The double values should no longer occure in the case described above.

    I have the Codepress Admin Colums last version, and Custom Content Type Manager plugin too. I can't see the issue of double display like in the above case, but i have a column with the text "The column-meta-2 field is not defined as a custom field", and another with "The column-meta-1 field is not defined as a custom field".

    After this text, the values are displayed well.

    Hi Dave, the output "The column-meta-2 field is not defined as a custom field" is generated by Custom Content Type Manager. I have no control over this output, so unfortunately I can not implement a fix for this. Perhaps the author of Custom Content Type Manager could help you with your issue.

    If you don't mind adding a piece of code to your theme's functions.php, you could add the following:

    if ( class_exists('CCTM') ) {
    	remove_action('manage_posts_custom_column', array(CCTM::$Columns, 'populate_custom_column_data'));
    	remove_action('manage_pages_custom_column', array(CCTM::$Columns, 'populate_custom_column_data'));
    }

    This will remove the added columns (and it's output) that are set by Custom Content Type Manager.

    Let me know if this works for you. If I find a better way I will let you know.
