New Version - worse than the old version (5 posts)

    I updated to version 2.0 on one of my sites today and it's completely broken.

    It seems to not read the old version's OPTIONS so your CDN keys are lost and have to be re-entered.

    When I run the "Sync Now" tool, I just get a TON of database errors and no actual sync takes place.

    Glad I only updated 1 of my sites and can revert it soon.

    Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I've sent a support email to the developers.

    Agreed!

    Avoid this version like the plague. Luckily I saved the old version and was able to revert back.

    Didn't these guys test this plugin?

    On top of that, the new version flat-out won't work with Amazon S3 because I can't set the bucket it uploads to. I reported the problem using the form, but I haven't heard back from them after two days.

    It's a good thing WP.org keeps archives of older versions.

    Does not work with Rackspace Cloud Files / Akamai and Amazon S3.

    It appears that the plugin developer has no interest with the older version or current problem (no response in forum). He has said in his blog that "There are a couple of features that have been excluded from this version because a lot more work is required on them."

    In that case, it is our request, allow us to modify the older one to suit our need to be used with WP Super Cache. We can do more work those are needed.

    I apologise for all inconvenience that this premature update has caused. I assure you that all the issues that have been reported are being looked at. Anything that has been sent through the support form seems to have been lost in our backend support system so please resubmit those reports through this thread or another thread.

    I have just pushed update 2.0.1 which includes the bucket option for S3.

    Other issues are being looked at now and will be fixed as soon as possible.
