  • I have to completely agree with this, especially since we are using the most up to date version of the aioseo and the changes listed on your installation instructions make no sense. This means that we cannot update a plugin or we must wait for you to publish changes.

This also means that, without notice, someone can update aioseo and we need to go and fix it over and over again.

This was very poorly thought out.

I have tried editing the latest version of aioseo and I have downloaded and tried your hacked version of aioseo, both had the same results.

Title tags on category pages == empty
Description tags added twice to all category pages

    This is unacceptable.

I agree with John & Hube – this isn’t an acceptable solution.

I also do agree to you all, updating ‘All in One SEO’ pack will break this plugin, after that plugin won’t work.
Can anyone tell any other option to change category and tag pages meta title?

I am trying the ‘ALL in one seo pack’ given my the plugin developer and it has started working also.
    But is it safe?

The instruction is clear on the Category SEO plugin page:

    6. …download already patch version from here: Always download latest patched version from here. http://bala-krishna.com/dl/all-in-one-seo-pack-1.6.15.3.zip [1.6.15.3]

Better option, use WordPress SEO by Yoast http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/. It includes SEO for categories, tags, custom post types, custom taxonomies.

Sorry, should have added this comment sooner but I forgot about this thread until dikoro posted and I got an email from it.

    Hello!

I have tried to install the plugin with and without the Compulary code that needs to be changed in the all in one seo pack file. It works both ways. So my question is, what is the code snippet that’s to be inserted for? Is it necessary?
