   I can no longer control the size of the excerpt - the full excerpt is displayed no matter what I select. Anyone got a fix?

   WHen i use automatic excerpt, it works but if there is content in the 'excerpt' field of the post it doesn't.
   anyone had any luck fixing this?

   the way it is done in the plugin appears to be the recommended way to show only certain bits of the excerpt.
