    Hey there,

    I have made a main category (Country) then County and parented it with Country and then Town and parented it with County. I have put the code in the sidebar, I can select Country then County and then Town, I hit submit… and I get a error page 404. What do I do wrong?

    I have added this to my header

    <div id="searchmenu">
    <?php chainselect_getcategories( 'category', 3, array('Select Country', 'Select County', 'Select Town'), array('Country', 'County', 'Town') ) ?>
     </div>

    and this to the sytle.css

    #searchmenu {
    height: 100px !important;
    margin:0 auto;
    position:relative;
    }

    but it doesn't do anything... what do I do wrong..

    Hi naastje,

    I downloaded the plugin Category Ajax Chain Selects. I think i have the same problem you had with the permalinks. I keep getting a 404 error. What did you do to solve the problem?

    If you still need detail on the positing of the search box you have to go into the plugin editor and select Category Ajax Chain Selects and edit the .css file.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hey Nally123,
    Had the same problem with the 404 error but i resolved it by changing the permalinks to category.
    Go to the permalinks settings then on the custom structure add /%category% just before /%postname%/
