[Plugin: Category Ajax Chain Selects] How does this work with non-hierarchical taxonomies?

If you have 2 different taxonomies that are not hierarchical (actor, genre) and you are trying to use this ajax chained plugin to find a particular movie that has both taxonomies, how do you set it up? For example, you select from the actor dropdown “Bruce Willis” and then you select “Action” from the genre dropdown. And on submit you would find the list of movies such as die hard. Can this be done? Right now I can only seem to get it to work with any categories that are hiearchical (ie. parent/child categories) but that’s not really how you would set up taxonomies. Thanks in advance for your help.
