If you set up a private or a password protected ticket post_type they should show up where the shortcode is placed. Right now they are hidden.

    Problem
Example: There are three ticket types; General Admission, Speakers and Sponsors. The speakers and sponsors need to sign up for free, preferably without a coupon code (else just add them to the general admission ticket). (I’d like to keep track of attendees separate from speakers and sponsors).

What’s to stop people from clicking the $0 or free one. I think some attributes for the shortcode like [camptix type="{ticket type}"] might help if a ticket post type can’t use the private or password protected option.

Then one can create a page that’s password protected..

Just a few quick thoughts on the plugin…

Thanks Austin, that’s a great idea, though we’re working on launching reservations soon. Reservations is a good way to reserve a set amount of tickets for your friends or coworkers. In your case it’s speakers and organizers. You can create special ticket types for them, and have only reserved tickets available. Regular users won’t see reserved blocks, thus they will not see the ticket in their list. Organizers/speakers would receive a secret reservation link, which gives them access to all the regular tickets, plus the reserved block.

We’re still test driving the whole reservations thing and thinking about ways to make it easy for people to work with. It’s kind of confusing at its current stage, but if you’d like I’ll show you how to enable reservations and a couple of other beta features for CampTix 😉

Cheers, and thanks so much for your feedback!

That sounds good! Pretty sure it will be done by the time I need the plugin for next years WordCamp LA. Unless I run another event before then.

    🙂

Is there a way to add an additional charge per ticket for example processing fee or surcharges?

@ntsolutions: sure, just add the amount to the ticket price and describe it in the ticket excerpt 🙂
