I actually want the ability for people to hotlink to my images, so that they can use my button images in their sidebars. Is there a way to turn off that one feature anti-hotlinking feature, or can I not use BulletProof at all?

The HotLink Protection .htaccess code in the BPS root .htaccess file is already commented out (with # signs) by default. If someone did want to add image hotlink protection then they would have to uncomment (remove all the pound # signs) from in front of that .htaccess code.
