BulletProof Security
[resolved] Does BPS include a login lock and folder renaming? (2 posts)

    Hi there,

I decided to try out BPS for a new multi-site installation, but I have two questions.
    1) Does BPS include a login lock, where it locks a certain IP-range after an x-number of failed login attempts? Or should I use a seperate login for this?
    2) Does BPS rename the wp-content folder or change the urls for WordPress dashboard and admin login? Or does it protect these via the .htaccess files?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. No, BPS does not focus on Login protection. You would need to install a login protection plugin for that.
    2. No, BPS does not do any sort of "hiding" "security" tactics as these methods are completely ineffective security measures.

BPS is purely .htaccess based and uses an action security approach.

If X does this bad action then Y is the result = Forbidden.
