[Plugin: BulletProof Security] cannot select options

Any of the options that I select for Security Modes but whenever I select of them and click “activate” the page refreshes with nothing being selected. Why?

I am also getting this error and I am not sure which .htaccess file I need to copy into wp-admin:

BPS Alert! Your site does not appear to be protected by BulletProof Security
If you are upgrading BPS - BPS will now automatically update your htaccess files and add any new security filters automatically.
Refresh your Browser to clear this Alert
Any custom htaccess code or modifications that you have made will not be altered/changed. Activating BulletProof Modes again after upgrading BPS is no longer necessary.
In order for BPS to automatically update htaccess files you will need to stay current with BPS plugin updates and install the latest BPS plugin updates when they are available.
If refreshing your Browser does not clear this alert then you will need to create new Master htaccess files with the AutoMagic buttons and Activate All BulletProof Modes.
If your site is in Maintenance Mode your site is protected by BPS and this Alert will remain to remind you to put your site back in BulletProof Mode again.
If your site is in Default Mode then it is not protected by BulletProof Security. Check the BPS Security Status page to view your BPS Security Status information.

I see that you also recently posted about a problem with wp better security and wp super cache. So it may be that your Host is restricting what you can do or what plugins you can add on your website Server.

Please go to the BPS System Info page and post this information:
DNS Name Server:
Server Type:
Operating System:
Server API:
Multisite:

Also post your web host’s name.

I also have same problem in my site http://iammitul.com and I did everything to correct it but the warning is still there. plz help!

BPS Alert! Your site does not appear to be protected by BulletProof Security…….

What I did after show this message (for resolving issue step by step shown in alert! message):
BulletProof Security Modes >
clicked on Create Secure .htaccess file
>in Activate Security Modes
(Activate) Website Root Folder .htaccess Security Mode
>(Activate) Website wp-admin Folder .htaccess Security Mode

..after this
“BPS Alert! Your site does not appear to be protected by BulletProof Security” message disappear.

but next issue come here…
W3 Total Cache is activated, but W3TC .htaccess code was NOT found in your root .htaccess file.
W3TC needs to be redeployed by clicking either the auto-install or deploy buttons. If your root .htaccess file is locked then you need to unlock it to allow W3TC to write its htaccess code to your root htaccess file. Click to Redeploy W3TC.

So what I do in this condition..

Dear Plugin Author,
I am supplying following information according you.

Server API:cgi-fcgi – Your Host Server is using CGI.

*- here I am not using multisite.

Just follow the W3TC error message instructions…

W3TC needs to be redeployed by clicking either the auto-install or deploy buttons. If your root .htaccess file is locked then you need to unlock it to allow W3TC to write its htaccess code to your root htaccess file. Click to Redeploy W3TC.

Lock and Unlock buttons are on the Edit/Upload/Download page.

The alert means that the BPS is checking and not finding valid/existing BPS security filters in your root .htaccess file probably because of one of these common problems.
