If you already have the 'BuddyPress Group Tags' plugin activated and have already entered tags, when you then install and activate the 'BuddyPress Restrict Group Creation' all existing tags get wiped and you have to re-enter all of them! Really annoying if you had already created many groups and entered a lot of tags.

Didn't experience this myself. Did it happen right after activating, or did you change some parameters in the plugin first?
Now I suddenly don't feel like pressing 'save settings'...

i suspect this is an error with the group tags plugin - i'll install and see if i can't duplicate the same issue. maybe @dwenaus can verify this as well.
