   I'm testing the plugin on my sandbox. This is my Windows computer and using latest WordPress MU (2.8.5.2) and latest BuddyPress (1.1.2). The plugin version used is 0.1.3.

   All times I try to save a new link, I get an error message in red, upper the form with this message:
   

   There was an error saving link details. Please try again.

   I filled all the fields and tried different URLs and descriptions (Longer and Shorter), but always getting the same message.

   Any help how to solve this?

   I'm using 0.2 and I have the exact same issue, I contacted the author about it.

   Check to make sure your links table was created your SQL database named wp_bp_links. Mine could not be created because MySQL can not have a default value for text or blob column types. I had to do was insert the table by hand.

   @Gopherboy

   Thanks for reporting this. I have just removed that default value from the description field in TRUNK. I may go back and do a maintenance update for the 1.1 branch as well.

   I am strugeling with this as well. On a single Wp installation and BP 1.2

   Any help for a non SQL type person :D

   same error here, youtube links not working but database fields are being created.

   using wordpres mu 2.9.2 with buddypress.
