[Plugin: BuddyPress Groupblog] Private Group but Public Group Blog

I’m running buddypress and this plugin on a multisite. I noticed that one of the plugin features is that the group blog inherits the group’s privacy – and I think that this is related to the issue I’m seeing.

I initially created a private group, and then create a group blog. I then published a post on the group blog, but the post did not show up in the main activity stream. I think it’s because the blog might be set to private, and thus activities from a private blog may not show up – is this true?

If so – how can I have a private group and a public blog? Also, I set my group to public, and republished the post on the group blog, but it’s still not showing up in the activity stream. What could this be?
