   I cannot get more than four users on any one groupblog. Not as auto when they join, or trying to add them from the WPMU admin panel.

   WhenI try from the admin panel I get this message : 0 is a protected WP option and may not be modified

   Are you able to join more than four people when the bp-groupblog plugin is disabled?

   It is indeed a very strange error.
