[Plugin: BuddyPress Docs] Associated Items – number and Name Assignment

I am having an issue with the automatic assignment of associated items names, Each doc is getting it’s own associated item listed in the item box listed by number, that is not helpful with many documents being created.

And it seems that removing or changing the name of that number, removes the document from then group that the document was created in. If that number is some sort of Doc id, why is it necessary to show it in the associated item list. Maybe just display the doc id next to pin add new doc and similar labels.

I really want to get them out of the list of associated items/categories.
