[Plugin: BuddyPress] BBPress 1.6 locks me out of admin

    Do you have the Buddypress Like plugin? Disabling this plugin allows the new Buddypress to install correctly. It worked for me. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the reply, but no, it’s a pure wordpress install with no plugins other than buddypress.

    Are you able to access your dashboard via URL i.e. /wp-admin after your URL? The new Buddypress takes the toolbar on the top off your site.
