Test / Preview Mode? (3 posts)

    Great plugin!

It would be great to have a preview window of what visitors will see when they visit with IE7, IE8, etc.

I have tried using IE9 in IE7 browser mode but cannot see the window.

Any thoughts on best practices for testing an implementation of Browser Blocker? Thank you!

Yes this is definately something that needs to be added.

I usually use a virtual machine with an older browser to test with, but there are some 3rd party products that can help in that department... check out http://www.browsershots.org as one option.

Thanks bdoga! I should consider a virtual machine setup. I like browsershots and also ie netrenderer http://netrenderer.com/.

I think after clearing my global cache I was able to get IE9 to trigger it, under developer tools you can switch to IE7 and IE8 mode.

I'm curious if there is a page url convention i.e. (http://yoursite.com/page?blocker=yes) that we could use to do a live preview of the warning page in an up to date browser or at least via the admin.
