Hi,
When I unlink the post using this plugin it seems to republish rather than just update which means that it cause another plugin (wp tp twitter) to think there has been a new post and post to twitter.
Can this be avoided?

I just had this same problem. I ran Broken Link Checker for the first time at AllFreelanceWriting.com. A reader then emailed me letting me know that a post from 4 or 5 years ago was showing up as the latest post. The publish date seems to have automatically changed after having the plugin unlink something.
I've heard something similar can happen with SEO plugins like All-in-One SEO, but I don't have that installed on this site, and the issue seems to be specifically tied to the link checker activities from earlier.
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. This looks like a fantastic tool and I can't wait to use it more fully, but that isn't possible if I have to worry about my post dates changing.
Along with this issue, is it possible to update the links (unlinking or changing their URLs) without updating the posts updated field?
I mean, sometimes I'd like to update the posts links without changing the posts "last updated" property/field.
Is it possible?
