    Hi All,

I have just installed this plugin and its really good, except for one little bit which is any https links don't work. An example of the error the plugin gives me is:

    Link last checked : June 9, 2012
    HTTP code : 0
    Response time : 0.000 seconds
    Final URL : https://www.schneier.com/book-lo.html
    Redirect count : 0
    Instance count : 1

This link has failed 3 times.
This link has been broken for 1 day.

    Log : === (No response) ===

    (Using Snoopy)
    Link is broken.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

    Hello again.

I was reminded about this because I see there is a new version out. Unsurprisingly because it wasn't in the changelog it is still a problem.

Is there some extra information I can provide or a way to debug this at all?

    Thanks in advance!

Did anyone ever get anywhere with this? I can confirm that I still have problems with all my "https" links. I would love to get this problem resolved so I am willing to provide any evidence or testing as required.

    Thanks!

I'm having this issue as well. Anyone have a work around or an alternative plugin for site wide searches?

I keep meaning to look at the source code for the plugin and see if I can work out what is causing it. If I do and I work something out I will post my patch. I doubt I will get a chance to do this for several weeks though so feel free to step in first. It seems the developer of this plugin either hasn't seen this thread or doesn't care.

Maybe it conflicts with another plugin. Having just installed it on a site where I have the same problem as you are describing, but on other site it works fine.

We are having a simliar issue. I wonder if it has something to do with the certificates on the site. Or a conflict with domain mapping. We are running it on a multisite network using domain mapping.

@larsbachmann - interesting theory. How would I go about testing this? I don't actually have many plugins installed so I guess one way would be to deactivate each of them and test. I still don't understand how another plugin could conflict with this one though - its not like it is completely broken. Just not working for https links.

@jeffvand - What do you mean by domain mapping? I only have a single site on my wordpress installation. How would I test your certificate theory?

I run a wordpress multisite installation which allows you to add multiple sites and then map a domain to one of those sites with this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/
