Ultimate Coming Soon Page
[resolved] Plugin Broke Site During Migration (7 posts)

We migrated our site to a new account and had several issues that the hosting service helped resolve. When I was able to login, I deactivated the plugin, but the Coming Soon page remained up. (We don't have and cache plugins.) The hosing support then tried to resolve the issue. Whatever they did now displays the following message on the site:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /home4/jugz1/public_html/index.php on line 2

Support said because the plugin was activated on the original site, this issue arose because it couldn't be properly deactivated on the new account.

    How can this get fixed?

Sorry, just delete the plugin. Not sure get_header is a core WordPress function call.

"Support said because the plugin was activated on the original site, this issue arose because it couldn't be properly deactivated on the new account." This doesn't make any sense?

Your best bet is to delete the plugin. Sounds like you have other issues going on.

Also this error Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /home4/jugz1/public_html/index.php on line 2

Is not coming from my plugin. It's coming from your main index page on your site.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I'll get back to the hosting support and see what can be done again.

    Cheers.

No problem, yeah 1st I'd just get your WordPress install working then you can add plugins back one by one.

Thanks again for your prompt response and concern for our minor crisis. Everything, as it turns out, was caused by errors and misinformation by the hosting provider's support people. Not your mighty little plugin. 😊 This particular migration between accounts simply proved to be much more difficult for everyone concerned. But we're all fixed now.

Cheers & Happy New Year to you!
