    Hi,

    I've just updated to v4.0 and all breadcrumbs for German articles on my website are screwed up now. I am not very pleased about that! I've already migrated all options.

    Funnily on English articles breadcrumbs are ok

    But on German articles (the actual default language of my blog) no Home and no category link is shown in the breadcrumb.

    I'll go back to v3.9.0 again.

    I am back on v3.9.0 again, that's why the above links show a correct breadcrumb. Here's the error v4.0.0 produced:

    English article (breadcrumb ok)
    Blog > Travel Diary > Oceania > Rumbling Rabaul – The raging Cauldron of Tavurvur

    German article (default language of my blog, breadcrumb not ok!)
    > > > Rumbling Rabaul – The raging Cauldron of Tavurvur

    How are you handling the switching between the two languages? If you look at the HTML produced on the German page with Breadcrumb NavXT 4.0, are the blank areas actually blank or are there malformed HTML tags in there (could you post the HTML?)?

    Switching between 2 languages is handled by qTranslate plugin. Breadcrumb NavXT worked very well together with qTranslate until v4.0.0 - With the new version 4 of Breadcrumb NavXT above shown error occur.

    Here's the HTML code

    <div class="breadcrumb">
    <a href="http://www.xflo.net" title="Home">> </a>
    <a href="http://www.xflo.net/category/travelling/" title="Kategorie: Reisetagebuch">> </a>
    <a href="http://www.xflo.net/category/travelling/oceania/" title="Kategorie: Ozeanien">> </a>
    <a href="http://www.xflo.net/2011/08/31/tavurvur-volcano-rabaul/" title="Rabatz bei Rabaul – Der Hexenkessel des Tavurvur.">Rabatz bei Rabaul &ndash; Der Hexenkessel des Tavurvur</a>
    </div>

    And that's how 3.9.0 displays the bread crumb

    <div class="breadcrumb">
    <a href="http://www.xflo.net" title="Home">Blog</a>
    >
    <a href="http://www.xflo.net/category/travelling/" title="Kategorie: Reisetagebuch">Reisetagebuch</a>
    >
    <a href="http://www.xflo.net/category/travelling/oceania/" title="Kategorie: Ozeanien">Ozeanien</a>
    > Rabatz bei Rabaul &ndash; Der Hexenkessel des Tavurvur
    </div>

    Ok... Solved... Deleted and reinstalled the plugin.
    Now its works the expected way, but lost all options from v3.9.0

    Which plugin did you have to delete and reinstall? Breadcrumb NavXT or qTranslate? From what I can tell, if qTranslate is chaching/translating some of the options for Breadcrumb NavXT, then the change in options was never apparent to it for the German side (for some reason), causing issues with the breadcrumb HTML.

    Breadcrumb NavXT - I deinstalled, deleted and reinstalled it. After reinstallation I've got the original options and templates again, making Breadcrumb NavXT working the (old) expected way. Then I only needed to set all options and templates to my customised values again to make the breadcrumb 4.0 appear 100% like its predecessor.

    And yes, qTranslate catches in fact all of WP's texts and options. I give you an example for "Current Item Template". Its default value is usually:
    <a title="Reload the current page" href="%link%">%htitle%</a>

    You can make this option becoming multi-lingual by adding language tags and a translation. In the following example the "current item template" gets a German and an English translation:

    [:de]<a title="Aktuelle Seite neu laden" href="%link%">%htitle%</a>
    [:en]<a title="Reload the current page" href="%link%">%htitle%</a>
