This sounds like an ideal plugin for what we need, but there isn't enough information to make sure. Can you provide screenshots or a demo or something that explains more about what it does precisely?

This is the wrong place to post this, but I'll reply here by saying that bp-member-filter needs a little attention to be fully compatible with BP1.2.
Also, some documentation changes are coming too, which should help tremendously since this is mostly an API and less of a turn-key plugin.
