    I highly recommend against using this plugin.
    Any plugin which calls home just to activate is a potential security risk.
    I encountered numerous other issues with this plugin, but the call home is a show stopper.

    WordPress plugin developers best practice recommends against doing calls home.

    a call home is when code on your website sends information to the plugin developers web site. The information may include user admin passwords and any other private information.

    There is no justification for doing a call home.

    The plugin doesn’t make a call home as you describe. The plugin does use web services on our servers to provide functionality. No calls are made untyoungster activation and setup. This is not quite the same.

    Maybe it’s not clear that the plugin uses web services and this is where the confusion comes from?
